Gladdens which means "globe teeth" is an extinct genus of the Mosasaur. They grew to 20 feet in length and looked very much like other mosasaurs. The teeth of Globidens are different from those of other mosasaurs in being rounded, making it very capable of crushing the shells of ammonites, and other with armored prey. The tip of the tooth as you can see from the picture is not damage to the fossil but occurred when the Globiden was still alive. This piece can also stand upright on its own!

2.6 x 1.5 x 1 inches (tooth is 0.75 inches)
